Questions to ask before a team order
Forward this list. Fill it in once. Most arguments after pickup are questions nobody asked while the art was still a text message.
You do not need a favorite shop to use this. You need one person who will keep the answers. Ask the same questions at every counter you call from the directory.
Art and approval
- What file do you want — and what happens if we only have a PNG from a phone?
- Who is allowed to approve the proof? What is that person’s email?
- How many revision rounds are included before the clock or the price changes?
- If this is a school or club mark, are you set up to decorate it legally?
Garments and sizes
- Which blank brands are in stock in Lubbock, and which have to be ordered?
- When does the size sheet close? What is the cost of adding two youth smalls later?
- Do you recommend extras in the two most common adult sizes? Who owns those extras?
- If names go on the back, will you work from our spreadsheet only?
Money, pickup, and reprints
- What does the deposit reserve?
- Can we pick up after 4 p.m., and how long will you hold the boxes?
- If a print cracks in the first wash, what is the path — not the slogan — for a reprint?
- If we need the same job in March, do you keep screens or stitch files?
If a shop cannot answer these in a short email, you do not have a partner for a roster. You have a conversation. For method help, read screen vs embroidery vs promo. For the human side of deadlines, read ordering for teams and events.
